The Farrier holdall is an iconic essential travelling companion. Designed to complement our Despatch messenger and Engineer’s tote bag, and made with function in mind. Inspiration for the style and shape comes from traditional men’s work bag’s used in England in the 1950’s.

We took the core material of waxed cotton canvas, from cloth supplied by the world’s finest English waxed cotton manufacturers, who have a rich heritage dating back to 1880.

We then combined this with Horween Chromexcel leather from the famous Horween Tannery and lined it with a natural cotton flax that was historically used to make sailcloth for the Royal Navy.

The main storage area incorporates a sturdy Talon zipper closure and we’ve also added two external side pouches, with traditional buckle fastening, to accommodate additional items.

Internally we included a handy pocket with Talon zipper and a stowaway leather pouch which conceals the shoulder strap.

The leather base has 6 solid brass feet, and all of the additional hardware used in construction is high quality solid brass.

The result of our efforts was a traditional, real heavyweight of a holdall. The large capacity will accommodate both travel and everyday needs. As with all our products, we’re proud to say that our bags are hand made in England.

Each bag comes boxed.
