Handmade from heavy quality 5-6mm Oak Bark tanned leather, which is produced by England’s last remaining oak bark tannery. Read more about the leather process here

• Oak bark tanned leather from the famous J & FJ Baker’s tannery in Devon, England. Reputed to be one of the best quality leathers in the world. Each piece of leather takes over 12 months to produce and is highly labour intensive, which is why there are only a handful of tanneries in the world who still produce leather this way.
• This leather is high quality full grain hide, meaning it may show some natural marking, which adds to the unique quality of each belt. We only use the premium ‘butt’ of the hide for its strength, and also to prevent our belts from stretching.
• This leather is a different finish to our Oak Bark Conker and Oak Bark Black leathers, and is softer and more supple.

• Every solid brass buckle is handmade using traditional ‘sandcast’ casting methods. The guys that make our buckles have been casting brass since 1837, so they’re pretty good at it. They also hold the Royal warrant as suppliers to the household of the King of England!
• Buckle available in antique nickel, polished brass and military grade matt black finish.
• Every belt comes complete with a 5ml bottle of neatsfoot oil used to condition the leather.

• Please note that when new, a small amount of white ‘bloom’ may sometimes appear on the belt. Don’t worry, this is totally natural and is caused by the waxes in the leather rising to the surface. It can easily be removed by brushing the leather. It will only be present when the leather is ‘new’ and will vanish after some use.
