- Fine quality hand crafted belt, crafted from soft and supple Tochigi Japanese leather. Featuring hand sewn detail and solid brass buckle, which is handmade in England.
- 4.5mm ‘roughout’ leather, from the Tochigi Tannery located in the Kanto region in Honshu, Japan. Established since 1937, The tannery has a worldwide reputation for producing quality leather using only 100% natural vegetable tanning methods.
- The hides go through a time consuming 20 step process, using 160 tanning pits to produce a supple leather with a natural finish that develops a stunning patina with age.
- Made from full grain leather, considered worldwide to be the best quality leather available. It is produced using the top surface of the hide where the fibres are much tighter making it extremely durable, and can last more than one lifetime with proper care.
- The natural grain and appearance of the hide is retained, and scars and natural marking may be visible. This is perfectly normal, and add to the unique beauty of each item made from it.
- Full grain leather is very expensive to produce, as the full hide is used to produce it, so you will only see it being used on the highest quality leather goods.
- 37mm wide to fit the belt loops of most denim or chinos.
- Hand sewn using traditional ‘saddle stitching’.
- Buckle available in antique nickel, matt brass, matt black and solid copper.
- Every solid brass buckle is handmade using traditional ‘sandcast’ casting methods. The guys that make our buckles have been casting brass since 1837, so they’re pretty good at it. They also hold the Royal warrant as suppliers to the household of the King of England.
